Food is something that is very much essential for the survival of mankind. Having stated this, just imagine a situation when you don’t have all the required ingredients to cook your meal, or I might ask you to simply put yourself in the shoes of a hosteller, yes, that must ring the bell. Now, by doing so one may realize that there are situations when it is desirable to have something which can be prepared with least efforts and ingredients and once consumed.

Well, we are ready to eat food for that cause. Now, before one may be imagining a packet of lays or badly cooked street food junk as ready to eat food, let me list some of the healthy ready to eat food which you may like.

Cornflakes :

Cornflakes is a breakfast cereal made by roasting the flakes of corn. Generally consumed with milk 100 grams of cornflakes contain 357 calories. It contains about 30% Sodium, 4% Potassium, 28% Carbohydrate, 16% Protein, and a significant amount of Vitamin A, C, D, B-6, Cobalamin, and Magnesium.


Muesli :

Muesli is a dish based on ingredients like grains, dried fruits, fresh fruits, nuts and seeds, and rolled oats. This mixture can be consumed with liquids like milk, almond milk, yogurt, fruit juice, etc.

Every 45 grams serving of muesli contains 2.5 grams of fat, 30 grams of Carbohydrate, 3.5 grams of Fibre, and 5.0 grams of Protein.

Quaker Oats :

Quaker Oats are 100% whole grain oats and sodium-free food. It can be consumed with milk, yogurt, etc. Topping it with nuts and fruits complement its nutritional composition. 

Generally, 40 grams of dry quaker oats contain 150 calories, 3 grams of fat, 27 grams of Carbohydrates, and 5 grams of Protein.


Whole Wheat Pasta :

Whole Wheat Pasta is a lot healthier than white pasta because it contains multiple nutrients such as Complex Carbs, Protein, Fiber, Iron, Magnesium, and Zinc.

In contrast to this white pasta is the processed category of pasta and the processing takes a toll on its nutritional value depriving it of many nutrients.


Granola Bars :

Granola is a snack and breakfast food, consisting of nuts, honey, and rolled oats. It may also contain puffed rice. Generally, it is baked until crisp, golden brown and toasted.

Per 100 grams of granola bars consists of 30% Fat, 12% Sodium, 9% Potassium, 21% Carbohydrate, 20% Protein, 6% Calcium, 1% Vitamin C, 16% Iron, 5% Vitamin B-6 and 24% Magnesium.


MTR Upma :

Upma is a south Indian dish that is most suited for a traditional, delicious, light, and healthy breakfast.

It is made up of Suji and some seasonings, best served with coconut chutney.
